Ok guys/girls.

I've spent a bunch of time in Aussie. I'm now in Canada. My mate in Aussie is getting married, and wants to have a bachelor party somewhere. He's Canadian, but marrying an Aussie chick so he lives there. We all wanna come.

Does anyone have any ideas as to where is about equidistant from Sydney and Toronto. I know Hawaii is, but for some reason it's 2.5x as expensive for an Aussie to fly there than it is for us.

Any other ideas? Anyone been to any of the South Pacific islands? We don't care about hobbying obviously. Just want good weather, nice resort, etc.

Thanks

It doesn't have to be equidistant as sometimes the cost of travel has little to do with distance, especially in that part of the world.

Raratonga in the Cook Islands is my favorite South Pacific island as it's not that crowded, but it's a lot of Aussies go there, so you friend may not like it. Fuji is great as variety is only a boat trip or short plane trip away and you can go big or small with your bucks. If you choose Hawaii, go Kauai.

What about going the other way for equidistance: Greek Islands, Goa, India or Dubai

French Polynesia is on the south side of the equator, roughly where hawaii is. It is gorgeous but it is not really a bachelor party type of place. More like a honeymoon. Nice resorts, beautiful beaches and very little crowds.

By the time you get through pricing things out, I wonder if it wouldn't be just about the same price to fly to Australia if you want a visit. For instance it is cheaper than flying from Toronto to Tahiti and about $580 more than flying from Toronto to the Greek Islands.
