Hi,

I'm going to Latin america in a few weeks, Venezuela actually.

I read some previous threads and Mr. Handsome said whatever the price listed can be bargained. I'm looking at Sexycaracas.com and the prices are actually around 200$/hr, on par w/ Toronto! or around 1500 for a night!!!

I know there's inflation around the world, and I don't want to treat these girls poorly, but why the hell am I going there if it's the same price.
So what shoudl be the 'real' price? any expert advice?

And anyone know what an estudio mean? I don't get it, is it something like an agencia?

Thanks.

Spanish is Essential and you need 2 essential friends

Firstly, just by virtue of the fact that you are North American, they will try to get the most out of you that they can. To them, it is logical. You are a 'have' and they are a 'have not'. In their mind, whatever you give them is good for the month in terms of food, shelter and clothing. The best thing you can do is do your own arranging, if you don't speak Spanish, everyone will try and screw you. This is what I do: you have to make friends with 2 guys. The first is a cab driver because they know the entire city, hence they know where the women are. Tip him well upon your arrival and tell him you want him to be your 'driver' during your visit. He'll love the chance to have a steady customer and since you'll have his cell number, he'll have to watch himself. Besides, he doesn't want to pass up a steady gig. Secondly, make friends with a cop or security guard, probably from your own hotel. Upon arrival, ask a young guy in uniform when his shift ends and treat him to a beer, tell him you want his advice on how to enjoy your visit. Give him a T-shirt or shaving cream, make a gesture. Once you gain these guys' trusts and camaraderie, they will introduce you to ALL their friends, cousins, neighbors, co-workers who are usually just sweet students and girls who live at home who will just be glad to take whatever you offer. This is the way to go, and I have met the most gorgeous women who are not pro's and are so attentive and sweet that you'll remember them forever. Remember, at one point you will be alone with this girl and that's when only you can speak spanish to her to communicate. Hopefully, she'll know a little English but don't count on it.

so I should take a non working girl for maybe a week? How much do you think I should pay her? Or should I just buy here food and tip her and treat her like a queen?

If that's the case si, yo estudie espanol por uno ano en universidad, penso que estare bueno.

Are people doing that poorly in the Venezuela?

Your choice in the end

In the end, you will decide. The cab driver will take you around and show you all the best places. Seeing that you have dollars, he will take you to the higher end places that others can't afford. It will still be ridiculously cheap by our standards and you can pick and choose. If you strike it up with a particular girl, then you'll be able to make your own private arrangement with her and meet her on your own. If you go the other route, and go with a sweet non-working girl, you can't go wrong. Her dignity will never allow her to ask you for cash. You might buy her groceries, clothes, even eyeglasses or medicine and she will give you her heart. She will ask you to meet her family but you can always decline. Hanging around with all her friends is a riot though, you'll feel like a Sultan. All of Latin America is in a tough economic crisis. I have experienced this same pattern in Cuba, Mexico, Salvador, Panama, Colombia, Venezuela and Peru. You can have fun or you can have have fun and help a girl out. You're not going to change the world but for a bit, you might make her world a little easier to live in.

thanks bridgeman for the insight, seems like you're a good guy...

But have you ever had to pay someone? And if so what is the rates in Canadian dollars?

I seriously don't want to fall inlove w/ someone, so I may elect to pay her instead, so I would like a brief dollar amount if you are willing to share. I don't need anything high end, just a clean decent girl to hang around for the whole 1-2 wks.

Thanks boss for the info

sorry and the last question would be where do I find non-working girls, just ordinary girls?

Do I just lay on the beach and they come approach me?

Two Scenarios

You'll find that most of the girls that work, also dance. They're usually clean, healthy, nice single moms who got pregnant way too early. So now they're trying to make ends meet by working in the 'city' and baby is back home, in small town with Grandma. They've seen dollars before and hope to get as much as they can so they can 'take a holiday' and visit baby or leave the scene altogether. Usually, they'll ask for a C note for the date. Offer half of whatever they ask, in reality they're not expecting it and will be shocked if you don't haggle and negotiate. The ENTIRE social structure is all about haggling and negotiating. From buying a used car to trinkets in the market. Remember, whatever they ask for, offer half and you'll end up somewhere in between. So if a girl asks for a C note, you'll probably end up at 60-70ish. As for non-pro's, it will be very rare that one will approach you. In a Catholic and gossipy society, a girl's reputation is all she has. Hence, my recommendation for developing friendships with cab drivers, cops and hotel security guards and bartenders. They'll put the word out that there is a 'gringo' that seems decent and willing to spoil a girl. They'll do the presenting all under the appearance of good manners and proper introductions. I once had the hotel concierge send me a beautiful girl that was sleeping in my bed when I got home that evening. She was the oldest daughter of one of his neighbors. The concierge suggested that since there was a 'gringo' at the hotel that was single and spoke enough spanish, "Maria" might want to show him around, suggest places to eat and whatever else. She was the furthest thing from non-pro you can imagine. Sweet and beautiful as they come in University students. I spent the week with her and when I left I bought a nice card and left a donation in the envelope of about 3 'C' notes. She mentioned she paid her tuition, bought new clothes and groceries for the month. These are your two scenarios my friend. If there is anything else, feel free to ask.
