They didn't go into the encephalpods much. THey are truly amazing. There was a special on Nova about them and some research is being done to try and measure their intelligence.

The light shows they produce with their skin is simply breathtaking. They are actually able to mimic patterns like checkboards and plaids. (reminded me of an old bugs bunny cartoon abouit a cameleon lol)
