I have some comments that apply to several threads so decided to make a new place to post them. Feel free to ignore them if they offend you

I guess it might be easier to understand my points by making several individual postings in the same thread.

The C suite compensation

I have recently been given the opportunity to get to know several C suite types, and have come to some conclusions.

Most people want to do "good". To make it that high in a company you need a lot of self confidence and belief you are right.

One guy was involved in the metal on metal joint issues. We were talking almost 2 years ago and he was adamant that his company was helping hundreds of thousands of people with the technology and was unable to even conceive let alone accept that it was not wonderful.

After a lot of conversations about that behavior I came to accept that when someone has defined their self by what they do or their company does it is almost impossible to not believe in it and defend it. It is even harder to accept that your compensation for having done it may have been way to high.

So as long as the old boy club continues to define success and appropriate compensation you can expect the imbalance in what they make to continue.

The "everyone agrees with me " syndrome.

Everyone by nature assumes that others agree with them. They KNOW they are right.

Sadly in the internet age you can find some people that agree with any half baked marginal idea.

If you go back to basic studies you see "facts". If you quote blogs or papers that review other papers you are just seeing opinions. And some where on there you can find any opinion you want.

Sadly unless people were trained in critical research they do not seem able to tell the difference.

The previously mentioned metal on metal joints are a classic example.

If you accepted the problem mid 2011 and invested accordingly you easily made 200% profit on the knowledge. But how can you tell what is the factual information?

The internet has created a terabit of experts. Most wrong .

Why is it important? Because an idiot who decides something is true and puts it out there does not convince anyone.

If a bunch of "me to" idiots jump on the band wagon..... well can 1,000 flies be wrong when it comes to eating shit?

The facts on how prostitution erodes the average woman's self image are well researched and documented. But if anyone mentions it they will get attacked and hushed.

I was attacked for saying that SPs and abused women shelter volunteers are often from an abused childhood. My observation is supported by studies and published papers but .... well just facts.

At the risk of overstating the point.....

Metal on metal joint issues are over stated. Check with web sites frequented by those who are going to be harmed if the court cases show the joints are harmful.

SPs are not worried about stalkers. And men who fall for them. Check the forums on Terb.

Pedophiles are ok. Just check the pedophile sites. Everyone is doing it.

I know I am touching hot buttons. But..... none the less, unless you check facts, you are just spreading rumors.

My mom ?

My mom is in her mid 40s and after a decade of not spending time with her we are trying to re-establish our relationship.

She left my father in December and is going through a divorce. I am struggling to understand her, and finding it a challenge. She seems to want to insist she was not that unhappy despite the abuse etc.

My favorite shrink tells me her behavior is typical. She is terrified that as her looks fade and she enters her later years she will be alone. Better the demon she knows vs those she does not.

I guess seeing menopause just around the corner has a huge impact on us.

Regardless, it is very hard to wrap my head around. I guess I will be even more stubborn when I turn 50.

You can't spell stubborn. Remember how you used to brag about your education. Simon is gone so that excuse of yours is gone.

Nobody has ever said you were a guy because of your feisty stubborn attitude. That would be a lie and you Loki know it.

It has never happened and before you started to put people on ignore you have seen explanation again and again as to why we think you are obviously a fictional creation of Loki. Implausible story combined with knowledge gaps inconsistent with your backstory.

The question anyone reading your original post must ask is why when people have been quite clear as to why they call fake on your fictional character does Loki insist it is somehow because we can't deal with a feisty stubborn "bitch"

Also those reading the original post might want to ask themselves why in a world of feisty stubborn females both in this forum and on the internet, it is only this particular "user" that so many people have called bullshit on. Maybe it isn't the attitude.


So again. Logic. Fail. Facts. fail.

The only question left is this. Is Loki trolling us. Did he intend to troll us from the beginning with his fictional character. Perhaps he started trying to impress us and when his fictional character got so much blow back he switched to trolling out of revenge.

My crime is that I remember the thread where Loki admitted he made up the mrsCALoki character due to a bunch of nauseating emotional reasons that frankly made most people in the thread feel sorry for him, and that he later deleted the thread and receded back into whatever weirdness caused him to pretend to be an internet woman anyhow. Whether its trolling, mental health issues or masturbation that causes him to pretend to be a woman, we shall never know, but those of us who know he's really a guy, get ignored. The truth hurts him I guess.

ps. how old is the girl character? Its either 27 or 29, I can't remember, but anyhow mom is in her mid-40's according to this thread, which means she was a teenager when mrsCALoki was born. How impressive that a teenage mom raised a daughter who wound up in medical school. It doesn't happen often. Of course, mom must be upset that her daughter, overcoming all odds and on the verge of taking her hypocratic oath, gave up the medical profession because her only client offered her her weight in gold if she married him. Its such a common story though... happens all the time.
