So I finally got to Android Ice Cream Sandwich at work

I have to say, holy shit. While I'm no huge fan of "the Googles", this version of Android is insane.
It's no surprise some people get them for "work" while leaving behind their iPhones.

I may have to get an ICS ROM on my phone afterall.
Love all the customization OPTIONS (not mandatory, but optional), it's just downright slick.


I also understand Wozniak as to why he prefers the Android OS over apple's.

As for my POV, hey, I give credit where it's due, apple's aesthetics rocks. 2 very big thumbs up.
I hate Google for their privacy crap, but then again, apple, microsoft, facebook, all do the same thing.

As for a mobile device OS, you being so tech inclined with your plethora of toys, you should check it out.
I know you'll love it, but probably won't admit to it. lol

But as for Ice Cream, HOLY SHIT! Very well done.

Move behind the conclusion to the reason for the conclusion, why do you like it - how is it different from Gingerbread? I think hands on reports are interesting, they are often clouded by bias but that can be factored in.... let us know why you feel the way you do about it.

To be clear I'm not challenging your conclusion, all the reviews I've read are positive, I'm just curious what you found interesting / positive.

The way they changed how one can close programs that are running aka. task manager, just a flick and it's closed.
Recent apps my friend showed me, very nice and intuitive.
The overall speed of the built in browser, put my mine to shame. Although I personally use Opera on my device.

But in general, the overall slick UI and speed of it as well.

It's really cool how you can just slide tasks off the page to close them, and have multiple pages on the home screen. I dig the omission of actual buttons too..it's all built into the interface. Android Beam is another cool feature too.
