A slice of life film is a movie about real lives that people lead. The plot can be fiction, but the movie is an examination of life. People find such movies boring but I find them enriching as they teach you real stuff about life.

'A Single Girl ' in french with subtitles

It was Virginie Ledoyen break out film

Interesting film that is a slice of life film about a day in the life of
a super cute single girl who gets a job as a maid at a chic hotel.

Most people would find it boring as it is about real life, but that is the point. The camera follows Virginie around for 90 minutes as she deals with her new job, her boyfriend , Mother and new employees and clients

Super cheap to make but she is not super cute. She is dressed with clothing and makeup to make her look like a super cute young woman as the movie wants to show what a beautiful young women life is really like. That is why her new job is at a classy hotel where she has to deal with ordinary people, new employees and guests hitting on her in a demanding job .

The scene where she walks in on a couple having sex is interesting as the director told her what was going to happen but she expected them to be in bed, not on the floor in full view, as he wanted a real reaction from her

Even though it has a very brief but explcit sex scene this is not a sex film, not at all, it is a slice of life film about real people and their lives.

You learn from such films

Directed by Sean Baker. Not as good as Anora, but still pretty good.

From Wikipedia:

Red Rocket is a 2021 American black comedy drama film directed by Sean Baker, and written by Baker and Chris Bergoch. It stars Simon Rex, Bree Elrod, and Suzanna Son in her feature film debut. The film stars Rex as a middle-aged, newly retired porn star who leaves Los Angeles for his small Texas hometown, plotting his way back to the life he once had. Along the way, he begins dating a 17-year-old girl.

The film premiered at the 74th Cannes Film Festival in competition for the Palme d'Or on July 14, 2021. It was released in select theaters in the United States on December 10, 2021, by A24. It received praise for its direction and Rex's performance and received a variety of awards and nominations. The National Board of Review listed it among the top ten films of the year. Rex also won Best Actor awards from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the Independent Spirit Awards.

Goin' Down the Road is a 1970 Canadian drama film . It tells the story of two young men who decide to leave the Maritimes, where jobs and fulfilling lives are hard to find, for the excitement and perceived riches of Toronto.
Despite the small production budget, the movie is generally regarded as one of the best and most influential Canadian films of all time and has received considerable critical acclaim for its writing, directing and acting.

As Zoots says these films teach you.

This film shows the life of losers you can easily meet in Toronto. Film teaches you how helpless some people are because they are not very bright.

Teaches you to stay away from them
