So .. A friend of mine recently introduced me to " Sitting on toilet while taking a piss "

First thing First .. This rule only applies to your toilet in the house ...

But since this introduction .. I'm quite enjoying the experience .. Here are some of the Pro's IMO

- Sitting down is way more relaxing than standing up.
- I'm able to tackle the morning newspaper or catch on some emails on the phone etc ..
- Good safeguard on any unnecessary 'spillage' One word of caution .. gotta make sure you 'Boy' Is pointing down :)
- At night you avoid turning on any lights cuz you just sit your ass down

But again .. This is only for your own toilet !!

Is this new to us males .. or have a been missing out all these years ..... haha
Would love to hear some thoughts ...

I have been doing it for 25 years. Back then I read an article that said you empty your bladder more efficiently than standing up. I do not have an SO, so I do the cleaning, so this is easier. I have often found that when sitting like this that I have a bowel movement that I did not anticipate, so it keeps me more regular (?). It's just way more civilised and comfortable. I also sit down at work. What the heck, I do that anyway for a bowel movement. This has always taken GF's by surprise. Not sure if they think I am nuts, or what. But they cannot complain about the the toilet being left in the up position either at my place or theirs !

It's a challenge with an erection, but so is standing up :(:(

Are you thinking that there might be cameras and you'll get outed for peeing sitting down?

I agree with Celticman - it is a more efficient voiding of the bladder and wtf sometimes you find you also need to go #2 who cares ....but not possible with erection since it would have to bent to the side to avoid the lid and then pointed down LOL

I had a very bad experiance when I was a child standing up and peeing. I've been sitting ever since. I hate drops of piss on my pants.

As you get older, you're more likely to have an unexpected # 2 come along while doing the # 1 ... so doing it this way means that you're ready to go. LOL

I did it once at the old Edelweiss at Ontario Place many many years ago. Had a pee upstairs on the balcony while watching the crazy accordion guy chugging a stein of beer while standing on his head.

I miss the old days.

Pissing while standing and wearing shorts is what made me want to sit down, from then on. Then again, I suppose if you support a little fire hose then it won't much matter to you.

Would it help my urinary incontinence? Sometimes minutes after I've urinated and am walking around, more urine is released into my undies. It seeps through the undies and into the fabric of my pants leaving a dark blotch of urine around the genital region.

It happened again today, at Dundas Square, during rush hour. Compounding the problem was that I was also pitching a tent.

I have been having issues with spillage lately. Shake it more than 3 times it's jerking off. Luckily, I am normally wearing quick drying fabric! As for the sitters, I am on the go alot and avoid sitting down in public washrooms.

Been sitting most of my life. It's just way cleaner without spray. As for public washrooms, that's what wall urinals are for. They catch most of it. But generally I try to avoid using publics anyway.

Trivia question: Which urinal and toilet are probably the most clean in a public washroom? (applies to men's and women's washrooms)
