So Phil and Hollywoodg have some sense of humanity.

Skyrider and fuji...their comments speak for themselves.

Heartbreaking to see any fellow being suffer such pain.

Terrible to see anyone go through that, be it celebrity or not. It's unfortunate that Fuji and skyrider don't seem to have compassion about other humans in pain.

I guess you didn't listen to the part where she said she see's a psychiatrist...
No because I'm not bothering to listen to almost 13 minutes of Sinead O'Connor when the bottom line is basically a sentence: she has psychiatric problems, is suicidal, and is living in the U.S.

If out-patient treatment isn't working seemingly she needs in-patient psychiatric treatment be that voluntary or involuntary committal.

Sinead and Amy Winehouse are not the same. AW had a self-destructive form of social anxiety, Sinead is bi-polar. Something was seriously off with Sinead when she ripped up a photo of the Pope, then she called Bono an asshole - she was accurate on the later.

Aardie tisk, tisk...do you know how psychiatric care in the States works? Here's an expert on the system.

My buddies and I were just talking about this around the campfire the other night. Being able to pin point the exact moment when someone's career dies was when she ripped up the pic of the pope on Saturday night live. Nothing went well for her after that. She was on top of the world and thought her shit didn't stink. Ahhh the arrogance of youth.

Nobody in the music biz would touch her after that. Why do huge popular musicians and actors think the works cares about their political opinions? Just shut up and play the music

Well said! And you're right - nothing went well for her after that tantrum. I thought that Kris Kristofferson did nothing to help (either her or himself) when he came down on the fans who booed her at the time. Nothing like telling the consuming public that they're a bunch ignorant fools...

This just illustrates that anyone can suffer from mental illness, but in a larger picture, celebrities have their issues broadcast to the masses. Is this because they crave the attention, especially former celebs, that they once had and use any platform to do so? This is tragic and something that should have been kept private while she is undergoing treatment.

You do realize that she tore up a picture of the Pope as a demonstration against the sexual / physical assault of children by catholic priests and the subsequent cover up by the Vatican right?

Sinead Oconnor had experienced first hand physical abuse at the hands of the Catholic Church and she was a decade ahead of the revelations that would and still do, shock the world.

She was absolutely right.

It's too bad people don't seem to know or want to know the reasons behind her act of defiance.
