Don't know if this has been covered, but last night I was sitting around and noticed that Martin Scorsese's concert movie on the Rolling Stones was on Moviepix. With a big screen HD TV and 5.1 sound:eek: , I sat back and ready to enjoy.

After a half hour, I couldn't take it anymore. The music was great...hey it's the Rolling Stones. But the creatures who played the Rolling Stones in Hi Def were positively scary...and by that I mean the real life Stones who are in their '60's, but look like the living dead.

Any similar reactions?

How old are you?

I was 16 when John Lennon was shot and I remember looking at his photo on Double Fantasy and thinking, "He looks so old".

Now at 44 I look at that album cover and think, "Fuck, he was so young."

It's all relative.

BTW, apparently porn is resisting going to Hi Def for the exact same reason. Some things just look better in low def.

I'm in my mid-fifties. Here's my theory....if an ex-athlete takes care of himself, he looks pretty good at 55-60. Look at Darryl Sittler, some of the guys on the Champions Tour.

But old rock and rollers have abused themselves with drugs and alcohol for a long time.

Not Mick. Mick has always been a physical fitness freak. (His father was a phys ed teacher and instilled in Mick at an early age the need for proper excercise.)

Ron Wood yes. Keith, I don't know about nowadays.

Charlie Watts, had a brief stint with drugs a few years back.

Don't forget, these guys are all mid 60's.
