I had a new lady over to my apartment the other day from an agency I use on a regular basis. Usually, before inviting someone to my residence, I make a point of renting a hotel room so I can check them out first.

This time around, I thought why bother? and made the call. I had asked the receptionist to ensure that she arrive dressed casually; I.e. jeans etc.. so as to blend in with those coming and going.

Anyhow, she arrived on time and was dressed in jeans, but was not what I was expecting. For one thing, her description was way off, and she wore way too much make up. Aside from the jeans, there was nothing inconspicuous about her.

Again, the majority of the ladies I have seen from this agency have been tastefully dressed and resemble the college girl next door. This was not the case.

It's instances such as these that make me hesitant to just call someone out of the blue since you never know who to expect. Furthermore, I'm sure the staff at the concierge/security desk got an eyefull, and were probably left wondering... Yes, it was that obvious.

The next time someone gives me an odd look in the hallway, at least I'll know why.

P.S. I should mention that to her credit, the lady was nice in terms of friendliness... but still!!

Just needed to vent.

Your first judgement is the best way to go. Newer girls may need more time and experience before learning true discretion when visiting a condo residence. Once you've checked the girl out, only then can you really decide if she can visit at your home.

Anyway, the concierge has probably already forgotten all about it.

Let's hope so. It's just that I value my privacy, and now I feel as though it's been violated by the agency in question, as it was their responsibility to ensure that the lady was tastefully dressed in all respects.

Out of curiousity, what can the management do, should they receive a complaint; I.e from a neighbour??

I can just see it now: "I was appalled... We have no desire to see that element being brought into the building.... We have kids!!"

Blah, Blah, Blah....

What can your neighbours complain about? You had a guest over to your residence. Are you not allowed to do that?

That she didn't know how to dress appropriately is not their concern. That you had a guest over is not their concern either unless you guys made too much noise or damaged the public areas of the building etc.

And if someone makes a snide remark, you can either tell them it's not their bloody business, or just make up an excuse. Say she's an actor and needed "the look" for a part. She came to see you before / after the audition. Or anything else you want to say. She was your guest in your place of residence. That to me, is end of story.

IMHO of course.

It is hard to tell. The woman may have put on the make-up in the cab. Since she was seeing you for the first time, she may be trying to impress. Tell her to dress casually the next time and you should be OK.

Didn't he already ask that, hence the jeans?

By the way...don't count on the consierge forgetting. If he's worked your building for a while you can be sure he notices these things and knows more about your next-door-neighbour than you do (and more about you than your neighbour does).

The ironic thing is, I had rented a room last week and saw three ladies from the same agency without a problem. All were tastefully dressed, well mannered etc.. Then, I decide to see a new girl at home just once sight unseen and look what happens!

Btw... I'm not so much worried about what the security/concierge staff think, as I am about whether or not their knowing could cause me any hardship. I.e. in terms of my lease, their attitude toward me, etc..

Quite possibly true... However, as Xarir pointed out, and as others have told me through PM's, the concierge really has no objective way of discerning who the lady is or why she is there. For instance, some ladies may dress in ways I.e.(provocatively) that may give some individuals the wrong idea. Thus, I'm unsure as to whether the staff would automatically jump to conclusions.
I can say without a doubt though, dressed like that, she was certainly noticable.

It has been my experience that when you call an agency and ask for a certain thing-you should be given that...and make sure you get what you asked for -if not-them call and complain. I certainly don't want to be with someone-and them not enjoy themselves-pretend to...me thinking they have-and then later find out-i did something wrong.

Let's get real also for a moment. I live and work in a tourist city-i believe that MOST of the hotels are aware of what goes on behind closed doors-but do they really care? They're getting their money for the room-and what goes on behind closed doors is your business. As for your neighboors-i agree with what someone else posted...its none of their damn business.

I live in a great neighboorhood...i have a full time daytime job-and occasionally work at night...sometimes not coming home until 3 or 4 a.m.....do you really think i care what my neighboors think? No sir...i pay my mortgage and i live there-i'm not bothering them-so really-what i do inside or outside my house is none of their business.

I think you need to clearly express what you want to whatever agency you use...and hopefully never get disappointed again.

Anyone who ever worked condo security for a part-time job will tell you that when you're bored your mind works overtime. I figured out what was going on in many of over 200 units when I put myself through school.

After a few months, certain patterns are impossible to miss. If your consierge has been there for longer than that, you can bet he knows some of the more popular SPs that more than one person in your building uses.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing. Those guys rarely do anything with the information...unless something unexpected happens.

I knew a guy that worked security next door to a building where a murder was committed. Turns out the dead man was murdered by a male Escort who robbed him and took-off. The Police played back all the lobby cameras and the security staff from that building had to spend many hours in a Police station reviewing tape and telling the cops everything they knew about everyone that passed through the doors.

It would be interesting to know what kind of juicy information the Police picked up in the process.

Doc, if you think that you are fooling your doorman, think again. When I want to know what is going on in a company I chat up the receptionist. She may not know precisely what is going on but usually has a sense of things since she is information central. The same goes for your doorman. He could probably even pick out your favorite type by now. However, doormen are usually discreet since if they blab too loudly, it is you who can make waves for them. You are revenue. He is a cost. Need I say more?
As for legal recourse agianst you, what you do in your place is your business, as long as it does not unreasonably disturb the neighbors. Just don't boff in the elevator and you should be fine.
My advice would be to screw the neighbors. If you want to entertain the occasional lady, then do so. If they want to believe that they are SP's then they will on their own accord anyway. Alternatively, if this is really stressing you out then do the hotel thing.

Bottom half, if I remember correctly; However, it didn't fall off or turn green... that's the main thing.

it's OK...

Hey drlove,

Years ago, I was in a job where I would see SPs coming and going. Later when I would see the "guy", I distinctly remember thinking, "Damn, I wish that were me!".

A concierge is essentially a security guard. They play an important role but as far as compensation and educational requirements (to do the job) go, both are very low. In fact, I'd say most could not even begin to afford living in the building where they work! They see how people with money live.

If there's any evaluation of you going on, it's all about your taste in women! If the girl was really hot, the concierge probably thinks you're cool. If not, then when they see you, they're puzzled by your poor choice.

Of course, I'm assumung the concierge was a guy - am I right? If not, then you'll get scowls and frowns. You'll be OK if it was a guy.

I too am leeery about having sps over to my home. I've posted this story some time ago, but it bears repeating. I'd called a now defunct agency, and accepted the guys suggestion based on his description - young, slim, pretty, frienldy and open minded. Well she arrived an hour late, wasn't any of these things. Should have turned her away at the door. Starts off with her insisting I put my dog in another room (the only time he'll bark is when he's locked up) Decided to try and make the best. Offered her a drink, "wine, beer?" She helps her self to the bottle of CC on the fridge and pours about 4 fingers. spills some on the floor, doesnt wipe it up. Service was terrible, painful bj with ++teeth. Dog barking the whole time. Allover in about 15-20 min (by this time I just want to get rid of her). Then has the gall to ask for a plastic cup to TAKE THE REST OF HER DRINK!! I say fine, so she proceeds to pour1/2 fo the drink in the cup and 1/2 on the floor (again not wiping it up). Then proceeds out the door, I say don't you need to call your driver? She says no he's been WAITING OUTSIDE MY FRONT DOOR ON THE STREET - engine running. Finally leaves. I thinks that this is the worst, and go to bed. Later wake up and nearly have heart attack, member is all black and blue (teeth!!). I laugh my ass of at what a spineless idiot I was to let someone like this into my home. The best part, next am, I walk down the steps to head to the store, and find 6 unopened condoms on the sidewalk, right out front of my place. Ive never had an outcall to my place since.

That's pretty bad, massman...almost comical. Makes me feel a bit better about my experience, anyway.

At least I made the appointment during the afternoon...kind of like a safeguard; it's a lot less suspicious than having someone dressed in that particular manner walking through the lobby/roaming the halls late at night.
