Was travelling last week and staying in a high end hotel. On one hand it seems a nice gesture to put a telephone beside the toilet but on the other hand do you really want to touch it given what most people are doing in the bog.

Discuss.

Well, you'll be washing your hands right after anyway.

I like the phone in the bathroom, even though I never use it.

It's nice knowing that it's there, so I don't miss a call while I'm showering or taking a dump.

Unfortunately, the down side is that SPs like to use it to extend their time in the bathroom.

Not a lot different from the phone beside the bed. Do you really want to touch it considering what some people are doing there?

I agree that a phone in the bathroom is stupid but not for the same reason. If these hotels were smart, they would've invested in one quality cordless phone that the client can use throughout the suite instead of having multiple phones and their respective wiring infrastructure.

Good to hear that you finally took our advice and moved up to Motel 6.

While it is true that I have touched worse than an ecoli infested telephone the second part of your post conflicts me. Salford I can agree with but Sale has nice offerings. Being from near the midpoint on the Lancs East/West road there were tough choices to be made.

PP. Of course Sale is Cheshire so I see your point.

But they used a frosted bulb:D

Frosted bulb, hmm. Another shrinkage reference, hey it was cold, I'm starting to get a complex. Its not really that small, PHNINE can vouch for me.

i think it has more to do with people stealing stuff rather than not being smart. if they put a cordless phone, i'm sure some of them would disappear
I don't see that being much of a problem personally, since most high end hotels are too pricey for people who would be stealing something like that (as well as having your CC info to bill you for it). Plus what use is a cordless phone without the base to activate it? And if they do take the base as well, then it likely has the same risk of being stolen as any other hotel phone (and likely for the same irrational reason).

That's a strange thought. Why would anyone want to jerk off with a phone book?

tough choices to be made for sure, but when ya got Manchester where 15 seems to be the average age of pregnancy it makes things simpler as a no go zone hehehe. And come on Lancs no Merseyside shots, how about some Scousers are all criminals jokes and how you are gonna visit Liverpool to see how your hub caps are doing :D
