Seeking to clarify amendment to Posting Guidelines

I note that an amendment was made this morning to the posting guidelines.

7. No personal information, or links to personal information, shall be posted, even if it is 'commonly known.' Threatening to divulge personal information and/or personal threats (even veiled threats) will result in posting privileges being revoked WITHOUT WARNING and, in extreme cases, the possibility of contacting the user's ISP or law enforcement.


I am seeking clarification as to whether "threatening to divulge personal information and/or personal threats (even veiled threats)" on other boards would result in the member facing sanction on this board for such conduct.

For example, would a Terb member who divulges the name/place of business/place of association of another Terb member on another board qualify for severe sanctions against the member who committed the offense?

Furthermore, what is the process to have moderators conduct an investigation under section 7 and how is such an investigation conducted and by whom?

Is the process a private or public one?

While the caveats of "I'm not a moderator" and "I see where you're coming from" apply, with the advent of the dishonest immature free-for-all boards and some of their immature fuckface members impersonating well-known posters, I don't think it would be fair to penalize TERB members for stuff that happens on other boards.

An example, if someone signs up on one of the dishonest immature free-for-all boards as "Goober McFly" and starts posting personal information or threats, I could be banned here. Is that fair?
