Secondary twitter account

I'm wondering if the tech experts can help me answer this question.

Recently I noticed that a lot of SP's use twitter to promote their services and provide regular updates; and this is especially valuable because unlike facebook and other social media, twitter does not censor them.

I already have a twitter account with my public name on and which I use for my social media network. I obviously can't use this account to follow SP's.

So my question is how can I best use a second twitter account. I assume that I can open a new account under any name and with a secondary email account. But I use the twitter app on my iphone and ipad ( which I assume is locked into my existing account).

I guess that it's easy from my laptop because I can use separate browsers or private browsers to access the twitter server and plug in the user name and password for each account; but I have a feeling that I will be using twitter more often on my iphone (on which I don't want to leave any traces or switch over accounts).

What are my options?

Thanks,

You can try using 3rd party twitter apps thats available on the app store. Just make sure no one accidentally opens it. Alternatively, you can also do the private browser method as well and just log in every time. I believe Chrome and Opera are available on the App Store and they have private browsing option.

Hootsuite is great for managing multiple social networks. It keeps each one in a separate stream/tab, and it is easy to flip between streams.

I have 4 twitter accounts. 1 is my main one that I check like 50 billion times a day with lots of followers and lots of reliable people I follow. 2nd is a screwing around twitter where I follow guys like snoop dog, miley cyrus, and odd peeps like that. 3rd is for traffic updates, police tweets, firefighters, EMS, anything breaking and relevant to me. 4th is my special hobby account.

On Tweetcaster I can easily switch between the 3 and when I need to use the hobby one, each time I log in and out before putting the phone down.

Works perfectly for me.

When I search my app store, only Tweetcaster Pro comes up...same thing? A second gen version?

I just checked google play and you have the standard version and pro version which is ad free. Company that makes it is OneLouder Apps. I don't mind the ads and free version works just fine.

Thanks...will investigate. Plus, the mildly pornographic posts on Periscope are getting addictive. I don't want to post with my normal twitter feed.

All set up with echofon...thanks to all for the guidance.

One more quick question..are there pretty loose rules for what one can post on Periscope. I went browsing last night with my new ID and there was a couple fucking and the girl providing a BJ. It was "creepily erotic" in that we were obviously peeking into their bedroom and they were responding to our comments. I felt like a pervert, but it was more erotic than regular porn... I guess I'm just new to all of these options. Would they not get banned for this explicit activity?

Re: Periscope: they CAN get banned, but they have to be reported first... Kinda like how Twitter doesn't allow for nudity in profile and header pictures. They have to catch you first.
