IMHO, I don't think this is a good move at all. Even though Seattle finished 28th out of 30 teams in the league as far as attendance goes this year (about 78 percent capacity), past years have been quite good (at least 90 percent capacity) even though they have been near the bottom of the league.

Ownership is reportededly going to pay the City of Seattle 75 million dollars to get out of the lease immediately. The figures have not been confirmed yet but the amount has been mentioned.

The arena was built in 1995 and they do need to revamp it but for them to move to Oklahoma City is crazy.

It's funny how Stern says that if the City of Seattle wants an NBA team, they will have to have the funding in place within the next 18 months to have a team within the next five years.

It is no wonder how Stern always gets booed wherever he goes.

Oklahoma City proved its a good market for the NBA during the time when the New Orleans Hornets played there after the Hurricane. I think that Seattle will get an expansion team within 5 years (Aka, like Charlotte), and I think they get to keep the name Supersonics name. Unfortunately as a city, you're at the mercy of the whim of the owners. But to lose a team with a player like Durant hurts.
