covid is flu/colds
Except with the fun-filled possibility of death or permanent disability/disease.

We still don't know enough about how this affects people. Some are able to get it and brush it off in a few days. Others get long-covid, which fucks 'em up, some for 14 months or more. Then there are the people who got diabetes from the disease. It's funny, but I don't think a cold or flu does that. But I could be wrong....

Oh, also, the number of people who die from the flu dwarfs the number of people who die from covid, so there is that...

But, feel free to roll the dice and walk around without a mask or being vaccinated. If you do catch covid, I hope you get the mild variety, and not the one that could kill you or leave you with potentially life long chronic conditions.

The number of people who die from Influenza in a year is not higher than the number who die from COVID.
That may change over time.

Oh, I missed his pithy comment - COVID is flu/colds.

Is he saying it is seasonal like flu? (Doesn't look like that tracks unfortunately, it would make it easier to handle if it did.)
Is he saying it follows an outbreak pattern when it spikes similar to another respiratory illness of note? (Spiking up and then receding?) Yes, that's true, but not very interesting.

Ontario death count includes people who didn't die of COVID-19, but exactly how many is unknown

i am done playing covid games
Of course it does.
It also doesn't include people who died of COVID and weren't recorded that way.

This is all well known and an issue with all death counts.
Why do you think the final death counts in Canada are "provisional" for so long?
