A sailor on board the HMCS Montreal went missing earlier on. He was declared missing and presumed overboard so a search was initiated. Today that search was called off as it now presumed the sailor is dead.

I think it's always very sad when we lose one of the troops. But this one is wierd. I was looking at the design of or frigates and found this site. I guess maybe the ship was all iced up and it took a roll unexpectedly or something. Still, one would hope that there would be watches posted or somewhat better controls to keep track of where the crew is.
