The biggest con would be for Russia to allow a few of these ships to be taken willingly to distract, while they smuggle more undetected. We'd never know. lol.
By the way I would take Zeihan with a grain of salt.

Russia is not smuggling, its selling its own oil to other countries. The USA has no say in what Russia does with its oil. The same scumbags saying they should have a say in who Canada trades with while they are putting economic pressure on Canada.

Shadow fleet is a bullshit term. The tankers are insured, just not by the London based cabal of insurers. They do fly false flags and shut of transponders just so the US cannot enforce its illegal sanctions.
