A small but very talented wrestling organization was in town this weekend and I had a blast at their saturday show.
Company is called Ring of Honor. Not what you would expect if you only know WWE because these guys are not 6'7-7 foot tall body builders flexing at each other. These are elite highly athletic stage fighters putting on well choreographed fights.
And for the people wondering the audience of about 500 people (just a guess) was only 10% female, but of that 10%, half were fucking HOT!!
A couple of comedic highlights:
After one wrestler described the other tights as "looking like a bag of skittles" during the match the crowd chanted "taste the rainbow!"
In a match that was purely played for comedy, Colt Cabana (screw you guys it makes me laugh) got to bags of trash and started hitting his opponent with them, which the crowd responded to with a chant of "garbage strike" because we love a good pun.
And the night was capped off with old school Canadian wrestler Lance Storm coming out of retirement. His match was still better then 75% of the guys in WWE and afterwards he gave a great shoot (non-character actually his feelings) promo to the crowd.
I don't know how many wrestling fans there are on here, but it was a great night.
