From what the studies say, a very isolated bat population and if (and it is still an if) it is able to infect people in the real world (as opposed to lab tests on human cells), the result seems to not even be as severe as omicron strains.

Of course a vaccine for a specific coronovirus would not necessarily work for another. That is not news. It would be news if the vaccine did work for an unrelated coronovirus.
