Or may be we should focus on the need for gun control, because it is yet another shooting with a legally purchased weapon.
Just stating the NRA point of view...
When I was 10 years old at a summer camp in Minnesota I took up BB gun shooting as one of my usual activities.
All campers in the BB and rimfire .22 caliber riflery programs had to sign up with the NRA.
Next year I switched to .22's.
The NRA would send us metal pin-on medals, with bar attachments to the main medal for each level of sharpshooting we achieved.
We were so proud to reach each level and show off our medals.
Talk about indoctrination...

The fact of the matter is that this will be a very short news cycle because it's not an older white guy with right wing tendencies. Every there is a terrorist attack, we are told before anything is know that it is probably some "loan wolf trump type" and then it terns out to be a Muslim yelling Alua Akbar. We have had multiple school shootings the last couple years by Trans-kids, and the meidi is reluctant to release their manifesto and give the story much breath...very quick to move on. Same when it is any minority (Wakusha Wisconsin parade attack, Massage-girl killings in Atlanta.....)..but let it be a "right wing" white guy and will lead NYT, MSNBC, CNN.... for weeks.

Yeah this is pretty much the truth...There was another trans person a little while ago that did the same thing..Had a manifesto that the cops never released if I recall as well...Swept the whole thing away about as fast as they could.
