He stopped her for doing 37km in 25km zone on a safe and empty road. Just another money grab from the city and cops filling their quotas. And expired insurance summon? She wants her to waste half a day to go to court instead of just checking her insurance in the system? I hate BLM, but I agree with them - police should be de-funded to get rid of these ticket writing clowns.

The clip is from 2 years ago and is in New Jersey. She was doing 37mph in a 25mph zone. That is the equivalent of doing 60kmh in a 40kmh zone in Canada.

Any speeding in 40 km or less zones should be pretty harsh since we talking residendial - at least in the past - with the plane to reduce everthing in the city to 30 km zones - well just nuts

Race card was played and she's was on the school board when this happened? She of all people should know not to speed in a residential zone during a time when children are potentially out walking to school! Good that she lost her job!!!!

Cop was doing his job in a professional manner, kudos to him!!

Exactly. She was being a entitled bitch.

He was not an empty road, you see people consistently driving. He was professional the whole time. She was swearing at him, called him names, didn’t have her stuff needed for driving.

This is a good example of why we need to respect others, follow the law and face consequences when you don’t.

I agree. Let's defund the police so we can all do 180km on the highways while chugging a beer and smoking a joint! Woo hoo let the good times roll.
Really, defund the police? Only idiots think like that.

We should re-allocate duties.
First thing, cops should not “serve and protect” construction sites.
Part of their duties should not be sitting at speed traps, unless it is proven to be an unsafe area, not the most likely place to “get you” because the limits are too low.

Those cops you see at construction sites are not paid by the police, they are paid by the construction companies, it's called "Paid Duty".

They are doing these "Paid Duties" on their own time/days off. They are quite expensive, as I used to hire them and pay their invoices at work. They charge $74/hr with a 3 hour minimum.

Which is why many areas now have radar speed camera’s used to catch speeders and those that get caught aren’t thrilled about that either. Exactly how many lives have to be affected or lost to constitute proof that speeding is unsafe. I think this has been proven time and time again.

...

She lost her job over her comments to the officer.
For some reason you aren't upset with 'cancel culture' this time.

Just another case where the alt-right gets triggered by random people (especially when they post a story two years old)..

Construction-good to know that the Police Budget is not affected by the construction work. Now we just have over-worked cops.
Speeding-I am talking about true speed traps. Not safety issues. Why is it with every proposal that they track how much revenue will be generated and not have many accidents can be reduced or lives saved.
