Well I have been doing this for a long time and thankfully have never been scammed. Well today was the first. Should have trusted my gut as it seemed sketchy as hell. Here is the link. It was a bathroom dash followed by a guy coming in saying there was an emergency and I should leave.

i suggest you tip off the police. You can call them from a phone booth and give all the details. You might be surprised that the police do sometimes take action against these robberies (which this was). I was ripped off similarly years ago and regret not informing the cops. These scammers will rip off dozens of people if you don't make this anonymous call. I suggest you also contact Backpage and notify them these are scammers. But call the cops first.
