Some internet ads say they accept only debit or credit cards for your safety

Is not paypal the safest way to buy on the net ?

Some websites you can pay with your debit or credit card and they're secure and some may not be.
You have to go some research about the site and find out if it's reputable and secure.
Petsmart, Walmart, puma, Nike, etc, are all safe and require credit/debit cards. So it's just a matter of how reputable the website is.

Yes, but is not paypal always safe? The seller may be crooked
so you lose purchase but cedit card theft is the big concern

You are stating some reputable sellers require credit or debit card
Why would a reputable seller not use paypal
if it is a one time non recurring purchase?

Ask the seller why they don't. I have no idea. I've used my debit/credit card plenty of times on reputable sites and had no problems.

What's the site in question? I didn't want to ask initially but since you're going on about it..

Be wary of sellers who don't accept PayPal. They may have a higher rate then usual of failed delivery and PayPal can hold their funds giving the buyer a chance to dispute an order and get their money back.

Safest Is a prepaid credit card Like from the post office. Hey can we cancel these and only be robbed of the funds Can you put on your card. You cannot use this card with other services as well to make it even safer For an ID theft point of you.

I want to buy mapacho a aboriginal tabacco that is used for health reasons and ceremony

you can actually go into an altered state if you snort it.

Tabcoo cigaerettes do not. Natives used it as a spirit guide and a medicine

I use it in ceremony, it has a beautiful smell and taste

Set up a bank account with only a $500 balance or use a Visa gift card you can buy at the pharmacy.

Look for the little lock to the left of the link in the browser. If the site does not have it, that is not good.
You can click on the lock for more info too. Also, I believe you want https instead of http. You can click on the link in the browser for this.
Agree with the comment about prepaid credit cards if you want extra safety.

I remember reading about this service and kept it if I ever came about situations like this, especially if I was ordering online often. Basically you setup a virtual credit card with them and fund the exact amount of the payment, nothing more, is my understanding.

Also good idea for trials that require a credit card and then you go to cancel the trial and the website fails to do so, again is what I understand is a use of this service.

Why use paypal when can just go direct pay with credit card. I buy almost everything online except groceries - mostly on Amazon since often get same day delivery (Huge distribution center in Phoenix). Never had a problem so just don't see need to have Paypal in the middle. Now, some places (very few) use Paypal to process credit card which is OK, it goes direct. Never have to fund anything with Paypal where had to deposit any money with them.

I have had false Master Card charges that I got back then I cancelled the card and went to visa

It was scary as Master Card said they were legal and so were any future charges
unless I could prove I requested the company stop but I had no way to contact them as
SCAMERS KONW WHAT THEY ARE DOING

PayPal is not safe. I have bought from overseas, the idea was not as advertised, admin got involved, convinced seller to accept return, but they don’t accept Canada Post as a legit delivery service and when the seller just sent my package back to me, PayPal did nothing. So I was out the cost of the item and the cost of shipping overseas. I won’t use them again.

However I will use Credit card because I can properly charge back. Which I did because I used my credit card through PayPal. So I’m the end I got the item price back and was only out the cost of shipping.

You cannot dodge a legal charge this way as seller can go after you legally
so you have to prove it is a illegal charge. Avoid recurrng charges
but these charges are done with trickery. They may make them unless
you asked them not to and it supposed to be other way around so keep
any requests to cancel and confirmation
After i proved I had no way to contact seller to stop charges
mastercard reimbused me but it took a while and it was stressful

Be leary of anyone that is unknown

Dave in phoenix uses Amazon, for example, they are huge with a good rep
but not everyone is in that category hence my original question which should be
how can you safely buy from an unknown company

If in doubt do not buy

Also an important note to share from personal experience.

You have a credit card with your bank. You have charges for services you cannot get cancelled each month.

You ask the bank to stop/block the payment and they say - No, you have to cancel with them with the seller.

You close your card and ask for a new number/card to be issued. A month later...you see the same fucking charges on your new card. What happens when you call the bank? "Oh we linked your new number to the old number to protect the sellers".

I had this happen. I then closed the card completely with the bank and went to another bank for a new card. Thankfully I was able to use up the reward points I had generated just before I did.

What happened?

The online services finally stopped working a month later and I had a new credit card with a better rewards program then before.

Hope this helps.
