Russia has no more right to tell Ukrainians to who their friends should be than I have to tell you the same.
Sure but if your neighbor started started amassing explosives I am sure you would not be calm about it. Do you think the USA would be calm if Canada started deploying nuclear hypersonic missiles aimed at them? 🤣🙄 What about Mexico? No Hay Problemo Amigos? 🤣 I guess its ok for Iran to build nukes that can reach the USA right?

If I'm not mistaken, Ukraine only started "amassing explosives" around when Russian soldiers little green men took over Crimea and eastern Ukraine back in 2014. And since then, before Russia invaded outright with the stated intention of taking over Ukraine, I understand that Zelenskyy had to beg Trump for a few anti-tank DEFENSIVE missiles.

It was only since Russia invaded and rained bombs, missiles and Bucha-like terror across Ukraine did anyone start "amassing explosives" in Ukraine.

So blame Putin for the "amassing explosives" on his border.

Besides, that narrative is one of many bullshit excuses you and your ilk puke out randomly.

Putin has wet dreams of restoring the mighty USSR and gambled his life and what Russia has on chasing this nostalgic fantasy. NOW, as a DIRECT result, Russia has NEW NATO members, all of them and Europe re-doubling their military abliites and defence industries to fight ONE, single, KNOWN aggressor... Russia.

So Russia will soon have 1000x the explosives amassed within range of Moscow, a hugely damaged economy only standing because of it being propped up on a war economy footing. Furthermore, it has lost a significant amount of its military equipment, facilities, leadership , intelligent younger people to move their military forward etc.

I'd say that Russia is its own worst enemy. And the only friends it has are fellow despot leaders who are all in toxic co-depenency relationships of necessity.

Ukranie subverted its democracy first, then attacked Donbas. When the West couped the Ukrainian govt, Russia had no choice but to secure the remnants of the USSR MIC that was in eastern Ukraine and naval base in Crimea was non negotiable.

You're admitting that Ukraine didn't provoke Russia into invading and occupying Crimea in 2014?
In 2014 the provocation was the US led coup that threatened Russias MIC and military bases in Ukraine. I have already said this many times.

and yet for as many times, as you have said there was a US lead coup, you have provided nothing except Russian talking points.

What is so hard for you to understand that Ukrainian’s, much like the rest of Europe, share a completely different mindset and way of thinking, than Russians, and feel more closely aligned to western society than byzantine, primitive, corrupt, intrusive Russia who wants to live in the false glory of their past wars and losses. FFS, the country celebrates war. No wonder they are attacking everybody everywhere and don’t give a shit about their people. In fact, they are now brainwashing kids.Hamas-Style two dedicate their lives to the highest honor, which is sacrificing their life for the Russki Mir.
There is no way that you and Russians of your mindset are ever going to be convinced otherwise because you have been indoctrinated since birth.

The only generation of Russians that had half a chance are those that came of age during the post Gorbachev era of Peristroika and Glastnost and underwear exposed to the realities of western civilization

not to put to find a point on it, but it was the Russians, who were a massive explosives on the border of Ukraine. Not Ukraine.

In fact, Russia signed.a (worthless) agreement to diverse themselves of nuclear weapons and bombers with the promise that modern day Russia would irrevocably respect their sovereignt and right to self destiny. Just like they had in the past and the game proved their signature and word is less than worthless.

But stop with the bullshit about Ukrainians are massing emissions, and military when, in fact, it was the Russians, who did that, and were the undisputed aggressor in this war from day one

This thread reeks of 'the nice man on the evening news said it's true, therefore it must be' boomer thought processes. Scott Horton laid it all out in his book Provoked, I'd highly suggest those who still unironically watch cable news to read it

The US does shitty empire building, Putin does shitty empire building, China does shitty empire building and Israel does shitty empire building.

But the US didn't make Putin invade Ukraine.
So at worse Russia was just doing what the US and its #1 ally does. 🤷‍♂️ Why were there 20 cia bases in Ukriane on the border with Russia?
