We just saw Rush perform last night in Ottawa at the Bluesfest. What an amazing performance from the guys! Just about 3 hours worth of material including the entire 'Moving Pictures' album in it's entirety for the second half of the concert. They played some obscure material and some new stuff and it's the tightest I've heard the band perform in years!

The ultimate Rush tour in years...

The best part was paying ONLY $35 to get in to see Rush and other bands at the Bluesfest!!!

In your happy place
Have you seen Beyond the Lighted Stage? Got it and watched it over the weekend...learned a few things and it just amazes me how much of their music is almost a soundtrack to moments in my life.

Im actually going to the ACC show as when I see them at the Ampitheatre I miss out on the always fantastic light show...although if given the chance I would go both nights...however...one can't have everything.

And yes...Moving Pictures in its entirety...bravo! Many bands are doing that this year...Megadeth is playing the entire Rust in Peace album and Slayer Seasons of the Abyss just to name a couple of other bands following suit.
Last year or the year before Metallica did it with Master of Puppets.

That guarantees that they will play my favourite Rush song "Vital Signs".

I saw "Beyond the Lighted Stage" on Palladia (HD music channel here in the states). A very good documentary. But they seemed to skip over the "Presto/Roll The Bones" period.

The 2nd set was truly amazing!!! The crowd was so into the music. I don't think it could get any better for this wonderful trio. I only wish I had my buddies from high school there when Moving Pictures ruled !!!!

Oh, I forgot to mention that Gordon Lightfoot was at the concert. No lie. He was sitting in Row A in the 200 level. During one song, I actually saw him put his fingers in his ears !!!
