The best film of 2015.
Will Hollywood acclaim it as such, probably not but that's to the Academy's detriment. I watched it for the second time and it hit like a ton of bricks. The premise is shocking made even more by the low key manner of it's presentation. Brie Larson is a Cate Blanchett in the making and young Jacob Tremblay will wear Serengeti shades - assuming that he's given the time to just be a kid. The motif for this cinematic year is revenge, but revenge can also be a dish served cheap. There was a crucial point in this film where revenge appeared forthcoming but they didn't go route. If you've seen it attempt to forget it for the remainder of the year - you won't be able to.
