imo Brian Jones was the heart and soul of the world,s best cover group of R&b Soul and Blues.........upon his death, my interest in The Stones basically disappeared
Fucking hell, when I started to read the tag line for this thread I read "Rolling Stones guitarist and founding member"
My heart skipped a beat because I jumped to conclusions that Keith had died.
Phew, so glad that wasn't the case, especially since Charlie died not even a year ago.
As to Brian Jones, the guy had some major issues. He was abusive to people, he beat up women, he had arranged it so that he was paid more than the other members of the band, he was lazy, severely lacked discipline, severe substance abuse problems, fathered 6 children by 6 different women and he couldn't handle that Richards and Jagger were becoming the central nervous system of the band.
The guy had talent, but it was over shadowed by the juvenile behaviour.
