No Rogers sets up what channels you are authorized on at their end.

Sure there is.... just go rob a bank then take the cash to Rogers and buy all the channels.

That's problem with digital. For analog channels, there's a filtering device that blocks certain frequency range (and corresponding channels).

I already have Digital cable....I just want a second box.

And I don't want to pay too much for it.

I'm on shaw out west and have the new Motorola DCT6208 DVR PVR digital box.

This box features high definition + digital video recorder. The video recorded comes with a 80 gig harddrive to record your programs.

There are 6 channels labeled high definition but only 2 or is it 3 that are true 1080i. The other channels are more like DVD quality. Which is still excellant. I also have 5.1 home theater on all channels. When i'm watching the World Series its interesting to here the crack of the bat coming from behind your head.

This box set me back around $800 big ones. It did come with alot of perks from Shaw but it is alot of money. My second digital box only cost me $2 a month extra so i though what the hell. I have that one in my bedroom. --- Kev
