$60's just a bit more expensive than their current cheapest useful data plan + voice at $50 (both figures excluding the SAF of course). I think lots will pay that for a pretty cool device. (Not me though!)

I just saw your new data and phone rates for the iPhone. I don't mind paying a lot for the unit itself but the rates are incredibly overpriced. Not even talking just about the data rates (which, in keeping with competitive practices in the U.S. should be unlimited). To maintain my current phone time rate (including unlimited evenings and weekends, starting at 6:00 p.m. on weekdays), I'd have to agree to a plan which would see me pay about $115.00 more per month. *Just* for the voice service alone.

I was all excited about buying the new iPhone and was getting ready to sign up for a data and voice package - but these rates do not make any sense! I can't believe how unbelievable and unreasonable you guys are being!

As it is, I pay over of $275.00 a month for the full range of Rogers' services: internet, HD-TV with PVR and wireless currently. I don’t see the point in upgrading my existing phone to a new iPhone. I’ll just buy a Samsung i900 Omnia when I can get it from a local dealer here in Toronto. I’ve been a subscriber since the beginning days of CANTEL and can’t help but think that this pricing plan is designed to drive customers away while allowing Rogers to say “we offered Canadian’s the chance to have an Apple iPhone they just weren’t interested.” Which is not the case at all, they just want fair value for their money and your plan doesn’t offer that.

I did infact call them last week. The CSR guy who answered the
phone said he did not have the iPhone package on his system, he suggested to call back in July.
