Hello People:

First of all, I probably was e-mailed about this, but just deleted it without looking at it. But, Rogers is no longer supporting Newsgroups anymore (as of Dec 15th). I don't use this feature often, but do enjoy it as a means of looking at nice pictures. Not raunchy porn or kiddy stuff, usually just Playboy pics. People usually post the latest issue's pictures and it's a nice way to build up a collection, especially the Lingerie issues, my personal faves. Anyhoo, no chance from Rogers to get the newsgroups back, is what I'm told. Does anyone have a link to some web page that posts nice Playboy pictures? Something similar to this one would be great

Thanks for the help.

I gotta say, I'm really stunned by all the "Rogers" posts I read. I live in the states and have had 3 different cable providers in the last 5 years (due to moves) I've never heard of such bullshit: services blocked, ports blocked, downloads capped, it seems to go on and on.

Is it that they're the only game in town?

well, moving into my new digs in a few months, and when i do, i will be giving the finger big-time to rogers and their bullshit internet service!

i am guessing that rogers will be seeing a mass exodus in the next few months, with bell sympatico gaining alot of new and/or returning customers. this just seems to go back and forth between the two ISP providers.

anyone know of a good, reliable, high-speed provider outside of these two assclown services?

plyrs99, I've actually done the opposite to yourself. I've switched from Sympatico to Rogers because of their speed issues and have found it to be a great change. I guess it all depends on your area, even though the providers refuse to admit it.

It would be great to find out about other service providers out there but I think the only 2 biggest providers of high speed internet service is Rogers and Sympatico. They have a monopoly and can pretty much dictate what they want, which really sucks!

Not Slamming Rogers

Hey People!

I wasn't intending to slam rogers, all in all they've been pretty good for me. I'm not a huge user/downloader. Just commenting on the newsreader situation. Also looking for another source of nice pics.
Thanks
