He was in all kinds of movies, those bad 70s John Wayne flicks that were ripoffs of big movies (either Branagan, which was a rip off of Dirty Harry or McQ a rip off of Bullitt ).

I read in an article that Roger Mosley didn’t even want to do a tv series…his agent told him to take the job recording the first episode (a pilot, not to be confused with the HELICOPTER PILOT he played, and was one in real life!)

Anyhoo, the agent’s reasoning was that it was a Tom Selleck tv series and his previous 4 attempts weren’t successful, so the agent figured it would be a sweet paycheck (correct) but for a brief vacation in Hawaii.

Went for 8 or 10 years lol.

RIP

I thought the writing on Magnum PI improved each successive year.

The dynamic between Magnum, T.C. Rick and Higgins was really special.

Rest easy Roger E Mosley........

Oh the bigwigs wanted the TC character to be down on his luck and the Magnum character to be successful, but both actors (who were friends, they called Mosley at Selleck’s recommendation ) fought to reverse that…Magnum was the bum and TC the successful businessman.

Wish I could find the link to the article.

As a kid, it was one of my favourite shows. The loyalty and camaraderie of Magnum, TC, Rick and Higgins was my favourite thing.

They made a remake which is shit. Haven’t seen it. Sacrilege.

I tried watching the reboot but found it abysmal to be honest.

Some things are better left alone......

A little off topic but I've always been a fan of Tom Selleck. I remember him playing Lance White on The Rockford Files. His character was the exact opposite of James Garner's. He used to drive Jim Rockford nuts, lol. Quigley Down Under is one my favourite movies as well. Even Bluebloods although cliché driven is a fun watch.
