I dont think God told him this !

Religious Broadcaster Predicts Terror Attack

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. -- Religious broadcaster Pat Robertson said he believes God has told him there will be a horrific terrorist attack on major cities, perhaps in the United States, in the second half of this year.

On Tuesday's broadcast of "The 700 Club," Robertson predicted terrorist attacks producing mass chaos and possibly killing millions of people. According to Robertson, "The Lord didn't say nuclear, but I do believe it will be something like that."

Robertson said God also told him that U.S. policies are pushing Israel toward "national suicide," and that the policies of Prime Minister Ehud Olmert are "toxic."

The broadcaster customarily spends the last days of each year in prayer and makes a prediction for the coming year. In May, Robertson said God told him storms and maybe a tsunami would hit America in 2006. Even though the U.S. was not hit with a tsunami, Robertson cited last spring's heavy rains and flooding in New England as partly fulfilling the prediction.

This gets broadcasted on tv without censorship ? and my favorite Mtv video gets censored with the word ASS ? I think his statements will cause chaos to his followers ! this is unbelievable !!

He's one of many religious, conservative

don't you think. He's one of many that
have driven me from the Republican party.

He's one of yours, OTB.
That's pretty simplistic of you isn't it, so black and white. So, all pro gay marriage republican now have to take ownership of an idiot like Pat Roberson - I don't think so. I think both political parties have their fair share of idiots.

Your idiot, Robertson, was a political candidate and his
700 Club plays to the religious right of the Republicans.

Now he's an orphan.

So much for Republican loyalty for elections past won.
So wait, are we supposed to clean house or be loyal.

Perhaps too much Merlot?

Well the last time I looked at current Republicans only Condi was not white. Good ol' Spock (Powell), Watts, Keyes and that dumb liar Lt. Governor from Maryland are either out of lost big. So it does look white to me.

Take a read of the Constitution.
There's no discussion about political parties.

I have nothing but distain for the Republican
conduct while they controlled the House of
Representatives and this POTUS.

I've pledged an oath twice to our Constitution
against enemies both foreign and domestic.
The first time as an officer.

I'm just living up to my oath, OTB.

Bush's senior advisors even think he is a wacko. They were caught on tape calling people like Robertson "wackos". Hence the GOP's losing the religious right.

..Robertson and his ilk spread their messages of hate to millions of people, when not trying to rip them off. I agree with Alexis6969, why is this allowed ?, why are charlattans like Benny Him allowed to pretend to heal people on TV ?, how is this not illegal ?

Is he with them or against them ?

In 2006 Robertson became a global warming "convert." One source attributes this conversion to the 2006 North American heat wave.[8] On August 3, 2006, he said on his 700 Club show:

But I tell you stay in doors ladies and gentleman. Stay cool. Get fans or whatever. And the poor, they need emergency fans and ice to cool down — the number of people dead. I have not been one who believed in the global warming. But I tell you, they are making a convert out of me as these blistering summers. They have broken heat records in a number of cities already this year and broken all-time records and it is getting hotter and the ice caps are melting and there is a build up of carbon dioxide in the air. We really need to address the burning of fossil fuels. If we are contributing to the destruction of the planet we need to do [something] about it.

As recently as October of 2005, Robertson (then a disbeliever in global warming), accused the National Association of Evangelicals of teaming up with "far left environmentalists" in stating that global warming was caused by humans and needed to be mitigated.[3]

Now, however, Robertson's current position on global warming puts him at odds with President George Bush who pulled out of the international Kyoto Protocol in 2001, which sets limits on emissions to curb global warming.[4] Robertson is viewed by one million viewers and often sets the conservative political agenda on national issues[citation needed].

I thought Pat Robertson was a comedian like the Colbert Report. I would watch him when I needed a good laugh. I thought when he ran for President it was the US version of the Rhino Party. Now after reading all these posts it sounds as if I was mistaken and he was serious. On my!

People tell me islam is a religion of peace. Yet all all hear about is how the muslims want to kill me and my family.

Now I know there must be muslims that are not piloting to cut the throats of their Christian neighbors.

Well Pat Robertson is not epresentative of Christianity when it comes to life. Yet most here would believe he is.

Religion is what people make of it. All evil comes from people, Religion is a power that I am sure most of us here know has been misused over the years, and is responsible for more wars deaths than even oil. Pat Robertson is just another abuser.
