RIP.

I think he was a flawed person, but deep down inside he was also a good human being

I was happy when he was removed from office, but nobody deserves cancer. As a private citizen his family has my sympathy. They've lost someone they loved, a father and a husband.

R.I.P.

May Rob find the peace now that eluded him in life. R.I.P.

Hope they lower the flag at City Hall out of respect.

Tough, so young too. Up until just recently I had figured that he would beat it, but I am reminded that with cancer, it's a terrible disease.

It seems like the disease progressed incredibly fast with him.

I was never a big fan of Ford the politician, though I often felt that he had the right idea when it came to being tight fisted with the money. I respected him in that regard. (Much like I wasn't a fan of Jack Layton either). Layton, Ford, whether you appreciated them or not, you have to give them their due respect. They each believed they were trying to make Toronto a better place.

RIP Rob Ford. Man had a heart of gold and really cared about the city and the people! Yes he made mistakes, but then who hasn't?

If you can't post something positive about him, don't say anything!

Ford's BBQ at the Centennial Park would bring thousands of people. He'd be there always sweaty, happy to chat, joke around, talk football. He'd always answer the phone calls, remember your name, go the extra mile. A great Torontonian has passed.

I guess some of you guys are happy, eh.
Not a fan. Thought he was a racist asshole but no, I am in no way happy he died a painful death.

The one good thing about people like Ford and Trump is it gets people talking and thinking about politics.

Fuck off! I knew the guy and while you can accuse him of many things, racist he was not.

Okay fine he was quoted saying racist things. And he's the kinda guy who says..............

He’s mad at PC Leader Tim Hudak for agreeing with “all the gays” to raise the Pride “f---ing flag” at Queen’s Park. “I said, ‘No, that’s bulls---.”

He refers to someone as the “dumb f---ing wop over there,” and then asks, “Sorry. Is that racist?” Ah, yes it is, mayor. He calls another patron a “f---ing dago” — which is not only offensive towards Italians, it’s curious, since his best buddy is Sandro Lisi.

His use of these kind of slurs are not new, of course.

On the first crack video, Ford reportedly refers to Justin Trudeau as a “fag” and talks about “f---ing minorities.” According to a court document, he used a despicable epithet to refer to a Pakistan-born cab driver, “threw business cards at him and made mocking fake language sounds.”

As for Ford’s shameful behaviour toward women, his sorry record is already well known.

He wrote a character reference letter for Lisi, a man convicted of threatening to kill former girlfriends. There was Sarah Thomson’s claim that he grabbed her derriere at a fundraiser. And according to the police court document, he was heard making vile sexual remarks to a female staffer and a City Hall security guard during that drunken St. Paddy’s Day 2012.

To refute those claims, who can forget the mayor’s outrageous “I have enough to eat at home” remark to reporters last fall?

So there should be nothing shocking about Ford’s latest Archie Bunkerisms at that Etobicoke bar this week: Ford talks about wanting to “f---ing jam” mayoral opponent Karen Stintz, “but she don’t want it.” Even in his drug or drunken stupor, he knows he’s gone too far. “I can’t talk like this anymore,” he admits.

The body has not yet assumed the room temperature. You're a pretty despicable human being. We can take comfort in the fact that nobody takes the word "racist" seriously, anymore. It's a refuge of twits.
