He was 73, was the drummer for the Toronto band "Klaatu"
He co wrote "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" which was covered by the "Carpenters"

Klaatu was strongly rumoured to be the Beatles secretly getting back together in 1976 to record 3:47 EST as the album had a beatlesque psyshedelia sound to it.
