Being a Parisian, he probably lived on a diet of stinky cheese and red wine, 96 years doesn't surprise me.

Werner Klemperer was the son of composer/conductor Otto Klemperer who was already very famous when he took his family out of Nazi Germany. Otto was born in Breslau, now Wroclaw Poland. He lived to be 88.
