In her prime she was considered the equal of Brigitte Bardot, she is best know for two Pink Panther films and Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in the West.

Apart from Blake Edwards and Sergio Leone, she worked with some legendary directors: Federico Fellini (81/2) and Werner Herzog (Fitzcarraldo) included.
Claudia Cardinale left Hollywood at the end of the 60's, never to return. She made several spaghetti westerns after that, The Ballad of Frenchie King co-starring her frenemy Brigitte Bardot.
