The Ricky Williams interview is on 60 minutes tonight, any thoughts on him?

Seems he suffers from depression and the medication he had been on for years did not work for him so he smokes pot and that worked for him but tested positive and faced a suspension from the nfl so he quit football.

The Nfl seems to have a double standard, 100's of players fly under the radar with perfomance enhancing drugs but Ricky in search of a hollistic approach to his illness is caught and faced suspension.

I don't agree with Ricky up and quiting on his team, I feel he should have been more outspoken about his dilema at the time, seems he took the chicken way out

From the brief clips they were showing during the football games yesterday... Ricky should have passed on this interview. He'll look even more bizarre than he did before... if that's possible. He also looks totally stoned in the segment... but I guess that shouldn't be a big surprise to anyone.

Saw the interview and thought it kind of sad. Most of the time he came off sounding like a twelve year old kid.

I agree. When Ricky came out of college, I was a huge fan. He seemed to be a throw back. He ran hard, played hard. He even decided to negotiate his own contract. Unfortunately, most of the money he negotiated was incentive based. He had an alright 1st hear, but got hurt and missed 1000 yards by less than 10 yards (i think). I still applauded him for trying to lead by example, but most people thought he was just nuts.

A year of so later, he was diagnosed with something like agorraphobia (not sure if that is the spelling) but the word means someone who is afraid to go out, and depression.

Now he is into this aryu vadic medicine or healing.
