As if there isn't already more upskirt footage than you could possibly ever watch already neatly categorized on the net. What an idiot of the first order!

A man suspected of brazenly taking an upskirt photo of a woman in a Richmond Hill grocery store is wanted by York Regional Police.

Investigators say the woman was inside a Yonge St.-Meadowview Ave. grocery story on Aug. 16 when she noticed a man crouched down beside her, seemingly browsing the same shelf.

“The victim felt something on the inside of her leg,” a police statement said Monday. “When she turned to look, she saw the man moving his hand away from her, with a mobile phone in his hand.”

Police have released video footage of the encounter, showing the man crouch down while the woman has her back to him. Armed with what appears to be a cellphone, he seems to extend his hand between the woman's legs, moving away when the woman appears to flinch and turn around.

“I think he takes the photo and as he's bringing his hand back he grazes her leg and that causes her to flinch,” Const. Andy Pattenden alleged.

The woman realized something was wrong and reported the incident to police, he added.

“I don't think she was quite aware of what happened but she knew something happened,” Pattenden said.

Police retrieved the video footage the next day. Cops have described the store as an Asian grocery store called Seasons Foodmart.

“Someone's going to know who he is,” Pattenden said.

The woman is “supportive” of releasing the footage in order to figure out who the man is, he said.

“It's also a bit of a safety warning, that unfortunately sometimes these things can happen anywhere at any time,” Pattenden said.

The man is described as a white male weighing around 150 lbs, aged 25 to 35 years old, with red hair. He was last seen wearing a blue-and-white Hartford Whalers hat, blue jeans, a green-and-white checkered shirt, and black and white running shoes.

“It's an unusual hat, there wouldn’t be too many people wandering around with that,” Pattenden noted.

Anyone with information can call police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7241 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.

What I don't understand is, wtf is the point? Just one of those things I guess.
Every kind of ponography is on the internet but this sicko is sneaking pics ? It must be more about the risk than the reward.

A lot of those footage were staged. The guy was probably
desperate to post something real to youtube,

We're all pervs.

Every chance I get to check out a good looking woman, I do.

Side boobs, looking down tops, and if I was under a glass floor and could look up a woman's skirt, I would. I draw the line at what this guy did, but really me oagling isn't that far removed

That video looks like something out of Just For Laughs Gags . All it needs is a yakity-sax soundtrack. He's so over-the-top obvious about what he's doing. How could anybody be so dumb?

Not to mention upskirts are the least flattering angle of a woman's body. Besides, he won't be very happy when he views the photo and her crotch is all pixelated. :D

It is about the only angle that enables a peek under a woman's
skirt. Women must know an upskirt peek got us guys more
excited than the view of them in a bikini. How else you can
explain why so many are fond of wearing a T-back under a
mini skirt.

I heard a while back another case of upskit photo taking. Evidently there is no law against this.

You're joking right? Women wear thongs because they don't leave visible panty lines or VPL for short.

This case in this post is unwanted attention clearly as opposed to women who want upskirts pics taken for publicity or other forms of attention for exhibitionism or career enhancement. There are so many examples online of female celibrities deliberately exposing themselve, nipples, see through clothing, upskirts, pantless etc. Is it illegal to photograph them, probably not? Maybe Lenny Kravitz recently even set up his recent exposure? This is off topic from the op, this lady appears to be a victim of voyerism. How about taken pictures of topless women or nude women at the Toronto beaches, is it a crime, even if the pictures are not posted?

I remember that story. There wasn't a law at that time, and the subsequent outrage at the lack of a law resulted in a law being enacted very quickly. So now there is a law.

What is the penalty for what he did? Is it worse than Bill C-36? Can the offended woman sue for damages?
