I knew a guy that grew up poor, but his family business grew as he grew. His lifestyle in his mid 40s was expensive cars and $3 million dollar country homes. He got the Middle aged Crazies Sold his part in the family business.Divorced his wife and married a younger wife. Of course his first wife got a big chunk of him in the divorce. He still had a fortune which he invested in the DOT COM boom. At one point he was worth over $800 million on paper. When the DOT.COM boom turned to bust he got out barely with his shirt. His family still lives the lavish lifestyle and throw him a bone once in a while. He has a small business and drives a Suzuki. A big differnce from the Porsches he use to drive.

My wife's ex's brother inherited 4.7 million dollars from his wife's estate(she was a quadriplegic who got money from an accident 20 years before hand and grew it).This was in 2005.Over the last 5 years i've heard stories of all his purchases and lavish spending spree's.Last I heard in March of this year he had about 60,000$ left and was living in a two bedroom apartment.
