A long plane ride over the pond and finally landing in Moscow for a few days of business, pleasure and of course the Champions League final between Chelsea and Manchester United. I thought that security was tight when I travelled in the states and the UK but on arrival in the Russian capital it was a nightmare of checking my luggage and asking me loads of questions before they let me in. Then it was a matter of making sure that the proper hotel security detail was assigned to me during my stay, two guys who really didn’t look that tough but they did know their way around and they both drove, although I think they were both drunk most of the time but held their composure. This trip was a few months in the making and I was looking forward to it for both the soccer but also because I had never been to Moscow before. My previous attempt to go there with a friend was always in the planning but a date was never set, I wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass when it was brought up.
