Well guys, it is time.

I have travelled to and from Ottawa, Kingston, Toronto, Peterborough, Durham, and Mississauga.

I have seen MPAs and SPs, no names to be mentioned.

I have experienced, what I feel is, a sense of closure on my hobby. I would like to contribute with the Sports Discussions Forum and offer any info that I may have to share. But this, I must also limit. The hobby is an addiction, at least it seemed to me.

I am focusing on other facts of my life, the people I love, care for, and respect.

I also want to thank all Terbies for the reviews and recommendations. Thank you. I applaud those SPs and MPAs that I have met over the years.

A special thank you to one SP in particular. She knows who she is. I owe her a world of thanks. I don't know what it was, but she helped me realize that it was time. Thank you.

With this, I resign. Thank you everyone.

Cheers and good luck. I also find myself questioning the addictive nature of this "hobby". Most are quick to say it is just that, however denial is the most common trait of an addict.

Best of luck and truly enjoy your loved ones.

Merry Christmas.

This is funny...

One thing I don't understand?? If you are leaving just leave why try and make a big deal out of it.. Do these people really think they matter?? Not just this person but all who post like him.
Just go already if that is what you want to do. :p
Now THAT is funny! lol

I was just wondering if anybody else has thought that when someone posts that they are leaving the hobby it is to assuage a guilty conscience.
I thought they only left when their SO found out they were cheating... ran out of money and their creditline was maxed out... or they picked up an STD. Posting your retirement notice on 3-4 different threads is a little over the top.

Guys have their own reasons for being in the hobby, and for those of us who have been attached, we do it knowing that we are not exactly playing a game we want to lose.

I think I am retired, but would never want to say so for sure, because part of me wants to always have that option of coming back just for a thrill. That said, paying what we have paid to be in the hobby, and what we get, you do have to think every now and then this hobby is just plain whacked at times...
