I worked for a company for 4 years, I quit. I gave them 2 week notice. The new job wasn't a fit for me so I went back to my place of previous employment. This gap was 2 months. After 6 months I was laid off. Should I include this 2 month gap or leave it?

I'm currently using yearly date format for my employment history but I'm thinking of using month/year format.

I'm not sure if my reference from that company will vouch that I worked there straight through or quit to go to another job and came back.

Hi Pokergod,

It does not matter what format you use in your resume. Outside of N. America, its ddmmyy or mmyy format. I would show and let your possible employer know you left and went back.
Having taken and given a lot of interviews comming back is a good thing because if you were not a good employee your past employer would never have re-employed you.

What line are you looking for?
