Restaurant/Bar question

(1) For a summer afternoon, what is the best location to sit, watch and mingle with the hotties of Toronto? Thinking of a bar or restaurant with a big outdoor deck, where swimwear is encouraged or at least not discouraged.


(2) For a casual dinner date, can you also suggest a fun outdoor restaurant/bar that has (a) good food, (b) good ambiance and people watching possibilities, and (c) wont break the bank?

there's not much cafes or bars in TO that allow swimwear...

1)but most of them are by the beaches on queen street...good for people watching...various selection of bars/cafes

2)Madison has one of the biggest outside decks in TO....foods alright..more like pub grub...pretty easy to pick up on thursday nights....Paupers rooftop patio...same owner as the Madi...reasonable price

Hemingways on cumberland...big rooftop patio

Sassafraz for celebrity watching...food is ok but expensive for the price

fine dining exp: best in city 'Suser' also good 'Sotto Sotto'

easiest place to pick up girls 'My apartment'...only problem is alot of 905 ers

But the best area in toronto for... people watching at night...best looking girls...best martini bars...is 'little italy' ... college street area....

Er, not a bar, but the bench outside the Second Cup at Queen and Tecumseh. Your eyes are at breast level, too...

The Docks

Go to the the Docks on a Sunday afternoon. It's stripper haven. Arrive before 6 pm for free cover charge. Don't eat there because it's expensive and it's not a great menu.

...personally...not a big fan of the docks....too many fratboy types that wanna power drink...

...and the girls i met there usually can't carry on a decent conversation...

...it's also alot of 905 ers that hang out there.....

Yes, easy has a lot of hotties but I found (both sexes) to be rather snooty. But then again, it is toronto after all.

Sotto Voce in Little Italy is the best locale there. Situated centre ice at the corner of Clinton (what better name for babe watching) and College, the outdoor sitting gives you the best viewing of all the lovely model type that hang out there. Great thing too about the place is that its not expensive.

Easy and the 5th is a nice place for sure - the patio on the top is a wee bit small, but it is nice - as for those who are "snobby" there - ignore them, as they are not worth talking to in the firstplace - I feel that those with an attitude, have that as to compensate for a shortcoming elsewhere.

As for the comment about those "905ers" - well, I grew up in Hamilton, and have lived in Toronto for 12 years - I think I have had the best of both worlds.
