A large number of Louisiana Republicans think President Barack Obama is to blame for the federal government's poor response to Hurricane Katrina, according to a new Public Policy Polling survey released Wednesday -- despite the fact that the storm occurred three years before he took office.

Doesn't surprise me. A large percentage of the general populous doesn't care or have a clue who is in government, who their elected officials are, or what the government is doing.

Whats the average voter turn out, 50% at best?
I'm sure the same holds true for Canada but maybe not to the same extent as in the US.

It would be interesting to see what the average Canadian knows about whats happening in government. Bet most wouldn't have much, if any, knowledge about bill C36, bill 122 (Teacher collective bargaining act), C13 (cyberbullying), what the ORPP is and how it will affect them. I would find 20% a high number for those that knew what was happening.

Of course us Terbites are way more knowledgeable than the average Joe.
