Recording from Rogers PVR

So I have a Rogers PVR and a combination VCR and DVD recorder. I have been recording from PVR by playing the movie and setting the DVD recorder to record.

Often I get no audio - the odd time I get audio and video but I am not sure what I have done differently -

Is anyone doing this and getting good results consistently. Also is there another way to record from the PVR to the DVD burner?

You should be able to use the "copy" feature and make sure that your using the highest level of input to "target" machine. If you DVD recorder has HDMI as input, you should use it.

Sometimes, i the program has AC3 audio, the audio goes out the PCM output. If it's not AC3, then it goes out the regular jacks and everything works.

Try setting the audio to always go out the analog audio jacks.
