Only through the "analog hole". They don't want you to get a good quality recording so all you can do is plug in the cables coming out of the box into an analog-to-digital converter (instead of a television). Some video cards come with these inputs and there are standalone converters. However, you can't control the box to change the channel and the quality isn't up to digital standards.

What about if you get the Rogers PVR. Is there any way to access the hard drive?

Hey kooley what card do you use to record HD? So far with Windows XP MCE 2005 I use the hauppauge dual card. Could not find an HD card or even a cheapish card the allows component in for cable recording.

But that said, recording at DVD stream speeds still looks great.

I have my PVR for about 2 years now, I always record from it, the instructions on the box does not always work basically what you have to do is play the recording, and record if from your VCR directly.

just remember to pause the VCR when the commercials come on.
