Is it a block foundation or a poured foundation? The repair can be minor, or substantial.

Leaks can be through walls, due to surface water, or at the footing level due to failing weeping drain systems.

Poured foundations can leak via the steel break off ties used to hold the original pouring forms together rusting.
Here a drill and inject foam repair can be a diy one.

But lots or Scarberia is old enough to be block foundations.

Weeping drains can be via perforated plastic pipe, or prior to 80's via clay pipes laid with slight gaps between them.
Basement window wells drain to weeping drains, and can fail if you do not keep leaves and soil from getting in and clogging he gravel.

Weeping drains can plug the same way, but more often i n established areas they fail due to the incursion of tree roots, which see the drains as a great source of water.

So there is no one size fits all fix.
And fixing the leak and not addressing water on the outside wall, or failing drains is just asking for the leak to crop up again.

So more info is needed from you before you call on any drain contractor.

My 2 cents.
My house was built in 1950 with block foundation and clay weeping tiles. Back in the late 1990's9bought house in mid 90's) basement started to develop leaks. In more than 1 spot. Got worse over the course of a year.
Took the hit and had the entire basement walls(exterior) resealed with that dimpled barrier and clay tiles taken out and replaced as well with plastic weeping pipe. The old clay tiles were pretty much filled with clay. Also basement windows never had window wells which were installed at the same time. Lots of stone placed ontop of new weeping tiles.
Expensive, messy but well worth it. No more damp, musty basement.
