Can anyone recommend a really good book about The Life?

I've always been intrigued by SP's and the life they live. It's an unorthodox path. They see a lot.

What's it like living a double life? Are they sick of sex? What type of men do they eventually fall in love with?

I'm sure their are funny books on this topic, but I'm looking for something melancholy. Think My Own Private Idaho.

All in all, I feel like an SP is someone who, even if you were her closest confidant, you will never really know her.

Not too long ago (a year or two), there was a popular Toronto SP who left the biz and wrote a blog about her experiences She talked a bit about her life and the emotions that she went through. Not sure if the blog is still around in any form...

Wish I could remember her name. Maybe someone else will remember. She was reviewed many times by a member called PHNINE I think.

Possibly, but it doesn't ring a bell.
Thinking about it a bit more, I think it wasn't too long after I joined terb. So, let's say maybe 2008 or 2009.
Apologies to witt19800 if this throws his thread off track, but if the blog can be found and my memory isn't completely messed up, I think you'll find it interesting.

Imagine getting paid $20,000 just to attend parties for two weeks. She then ends up staying for 18 months and being chosen as the Prince's girl, She must be filthy rich by now. I've heard about the lavish parties the Brunei of Sultan threw from a classmate of mine while in boarding school as a kid. His dad was a general in the Brunei army and I used to hear guest to the party used to be gifted with Rolls Royce.. My classmate was pretty loaded himself.. heard every expense in his family was billed to the Sultan :/

I think you will find it difficult to find a book that deals with all things for all working girls.

The experience is not the same in all markets or even for different girls in the same market.

Imagine the difference between a woman working at the Chicken Ranch in Nevada, a drug addicted woman being pimped in Vancouver, a woman trying to avoid stings and jail in the US, and an indie in Toronto. There are many studies and reports on prostitution available but they focus on a specific area.

You may be looking for an encyclopaedia, not a book.
