I received a parking ticket in the mail. The place where the ticket was issued allowed parking till 4:00 PM, no stopping or parking is allowed after 4:00 PM because the street is cleared for traffic. I do not remember being at this location, nor do I have the need to go to this place. The ticket was sent to me and was not placed on the car, nor did the ticket writer interact with me in any way. I would appreciate any advice other members have to offer on this matter

one time I went to the police station, had recieved 2 tickets for the same offence, they removed the ticket on the spot, might work in your case too....kinda sounds like a private firm hired by the locals....make sure its a real ticket

Make certain it's a real ticket issued by the relevant authorities. There are scammers out there. And if I recall correctly there are private companies that issue tickets on behalf of private property owners, they apparently aren't doing anything illegal but they also have no legal authority, so you don't need to pay them. I would do a little investigation before committing to paying or ignoring.

If the original ticket placed under your wiper blade somehow fell off another offense notice will be sent in the mail after the due date.
Like Boss Nass said, make sure it is legit by calling the city.
If it is, good luck, as it will be your word against theirs.

In Mississauga, you have the opportunity to attend a first attendance option where the fine will be cut in half.

call the number for the parking ticket folks and give them the reference number on the top. they will tell you if it's real or not, look them up on the net, they are not hard to find. average ticket is like 15$, if it's legit pay it and move on with your life.

i don't say that by means of giving up and admitting defeat, i just mean your other option would be to take the day off work and lose a day's pay or use your lunch break and lose that nice midday break. to do what ? prove you were right to a bunch of people that don't know you or give a fuck on any level. if you wait it will double. i got 9 parking tickets in 9 days when i lived in toronto.
