Received a message after cancellation - should I pay the “fine”?

Booked a visit with a SP at her incall location last night, was given about 10-15 mins to drive over there and park in time for the appointment. Couldn’t find street parking (had to park several blocks over) and by the time I arrived at her condo I was sent a cancellation text by the manager, who said I had taken too long and wasted their time. I was probably about 10 mins late when all was said and done. Disappointed, I apologized, but thought nothing of it… until I got this text from an unknown number this AM. Is this legit? Or just a scam to try to get my money? Appreciate any feedback from more experienced hobbyists on this forum. Thanks!

Just a scam. I would just block the number.

I should also note that I did text another girl from LeoList who turned out to be very scammy, asked for an e-transfer deposit to a weird gmail address and was offering a carcall. Is it possible that this text came from that scammer and not the reputable incall SP’s manager?

Sadly the type of text you received this morning comes from scammers.
I suggest you stick with highly reviewed SPs, especially if your new to this hobby to avoid these types of headaches.

String him along if you can...make him expect something will come out of his scam...make him wait for it...make him waste his time on you....instead of someone who might fall for it...i'd take him for a very long ride...you're using a burner no?

U should text back and say you will meet and pay him. Give him the address of a police station.

Scam. Becoming more and more popular. I got one from the Dominican Republic years after I had visited there, so I knew right away it was bullshit. Some loser probably bought or stole a used phone and got my WhatsApp number off it from a lady I was talking to back then. Even attached stock photos of mutilated bodies to emphasize his point.

To date, nobody in my family has been murdered or harmed and I am doing as well as ever and have not been outed. Block the loser and delete. Done.

The "you've been hacked emails" have grown in popularity too. The ones where they claim to have all your passwords, control of your device and embarrassing video they will circulate to all your contacts if you don't pay x by bitcoin within x hours. I especially love when my junk email account gets 3 in a row within a minute or 2 from 3 different sources, lol.

I guess that's what those "send email for 10 minutes a day" side hustle scammers are doing.

Just block and ignore. It is a scam that has been going on for a while... even if you did not book, you would have sent this text

Unless you booked a reputable agency, then they may have blocked you from booking again but no such text would have been sent.

Well, I wouldn't advise to string him along lol. You would be escalating the situation. I think you know that it was a scam, so clear out and forget about it. It would be fun to string him along, but maybe not the best idea. It's best to leave a sleeping dog lie, unless you want to get off the porch.

That guy is so full of shit. Don't pay the fine he's bullying you and now threatening u with exposing you to your family and bringing them into it. He doesnt even know if your single or married he's just assuming. Can guarantee he's not even affiliated with leolist. His English is also broken. He's just a wannabe gangster scammer and not even a good one. Report him to the police after u get his contact info. Tell him u need his info so u can send the fee then report. imagine what this scummer has actually done and gotten away with!? Do not pay! He's probably sitting in a mud house somewhere overseas with a set of rotting teeth u could kick a field goal in
to.
